ABOUT
DC COUNTRY ARB
Over a Decade of Practical Arboricultural Experience
I’ve spent over a decade working as a professional arborist, gaining experience across a wide range of tree work, environments and challenges. DC Country Arb is built on that experience, and on a straightforward approach to doing the job properly.
Based in Minchinhampton and working across Stroud, The Five Valleys and the surrounding Gloucestershire area, I provide practical, considered tree care for domestic and commercial clients who want clear advice and reliable workmanship.
A Practical, Balanced Approach
Every tree and every site is different. My job is to understand what you’re trying to achieve and balance that with what’s right for the tree long term.
I often describe it as “giving the tree a voice”. Trees can’t speak for themselves, and in many cases the best outcome sits somewhere between doing nothing and removing it entirely. Careful reductions, well-timed pruning and proportionate intervention can retain trees safely for many years.
Where removal is the only sensible option, it will be recommended clearly and honestly — but never unnecessarily.
Experience That Shows in the Detail
Before starting DC Country Arb, I worked for a variety of arboricultural companies, gaining exposure to everything from small garden reductions to technically demanding dismantles. That varied experience has shaped a broad, adaptable skillset and a strong focus on problem-solving.
I have a particular interest in crown reductions of all shapes and sizes — work that requires judgement, balance and an understanding of how trees respond over time.
Attention to detail matters. Clean cuts, balanced shapes, tidy sites and safe systems of work aren’t extras — they’re the standard.
Personal Service from Start to Finish
When you contact DC Country Arb, you deal directly with me from the initial visit through to completion of the work. There are no sales teams, subcontracted crews or layers of management — just clear communication and a straightforward process.
I am fully qualified in all areas of tree surgery, work to recognised health and safety standards, and ensure all green waste is removed and responsibly recycled wherever possible.
If you’re looking for thoughtful, professional tree care across Stroud and Gloucestershire, I’d be happy to arrange a visit and discuss your requirements.
